CatalogServer is a software component developed by OEM Data that can drive a digital catalog application, such as a product catalog Web Site or CD-ROM desktop application. Utilizing CatalogServer allows OEM Data to more quickly and cost-effectively deliver digital catalog solutions.

Technology Working For You
Much of the experience OEM Data has accumulated in developing and publishing digital catalogs has been integrated into our core software technology, CatalogServer. CatalogServer software encapsulates a wealth of re-usable programming objects that provide many of the common functions of a digital catalog.

Versatility
The versatility of CatalogServer is three-fold. First, the standard CatalogServer features are adaptable to virtually any type of product, with programmable product types and attributes; there really are no boundaries. Second, graphic design can be programmed with the use of HTML templates. This allows the designer of the CatalogServer Site great freedom in graphic design. Third, the architecture of the CatalogServer application and database is open and scalable. There are no boundaries to integration with existing or new systems.

Your database or mine?
The CatalogServer technology includes a native database system, utilizing Microsoft SQL Server. This means CatalogServer can operate as a stand-alone system without an underlying product database. All of the administrative tools are available to manage a complete product catalog database. In some cases an OEM Data client may already have product information available on their enterprise network. OEM Data is experienced in integrating CatalogServer with existing enterprise (back-office) systems for things such as product information, inventory, pricing, and even order entry and tracking.

Complete the Cycle
CatalogServer can provide a complete cycle of catalog management and publication, content presentation, transactions, extranets, and lead management.
